Position: Operations Executive
Job Summary
Vertex Cargo International is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Executive to support the day-to-day management of freight and logistics operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating shipments, monitoring operational performance, and collaborating with internal teams and logistics partners to ensure cargo is transported safely, efficiently, and on schedule while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily freight movements and logistics operations to ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitor shipment schedules and oversee deliveries to maintain on-time performance.
- Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, freight partners, and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Prepare, update, and maintain shipment records, operational reports, and logistics documentation.
- Work closely with warehouse, customs, and transportation teams to ensure seamless cargo handling.
- Resolve shipment delays, operational challenges, and service-related issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with company standards, industry regulations, and transportation policies.
- Track cargo throughout the shipping process and provide customers with accurate shipment updates.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, efficiency, and service quality.
- Support the operations department with daily logistics coordination and administrative responsibilities.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or operations management is preferred.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard business software.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Customer-focused mindset with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
